Overview
In the heart of the Masai Mara ecosystem, surrounded by tens of thousands of acres of pristine wilderness, the camp offers a wonderful, classic safari setting. The resident population of elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo and impalas, along with the multitude of bird species, ensure that game drives and walking safaris are always exciting.
You will enjoy panoramic views from camp, and fireside meals under the vast African sky, plus guided game drives, night drives and bush walks in the company of Masai warriors.
The camp serves delicious meals, many of which are Italian influenced, using the great ingredients that are found in Kenya. Vegetarians and guests who have special requests are happily catered for.
Activities are suitable for all ages and easily tailored to suit your personal preferences, they include: game drives, night game drives which are not permitted in the National Parks, guided bush walks, birdwatching, bush meals and sundowners in beautiful locations. Further activities include the Warriors Academy which teaches bush skills and animal tracking, perfect for children. You may wish to hike up Kilelioni, the highest peak in the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. After all this activity why not treat yourself to a relaxing massage or spa treatment at the sister lodge, Saruni Mara (40 minutes’ drive away), where there is even a gift shop, where you can buy beautiful, locally made artefacts.
Rooms
There are just three tents, one of which is a family tent. The tents have large, comfortable beds, spacious en suite bathrooms with hot water showers, flush toilets and a verandah. The family tent accommodates up to 4 adults. The two en suite bedrooms are comfortably and stylishly furnished with big beds, hot water showers, flush toilets and a verandah.
