Cheetah Plains is one of the oldest bush camps in the Sabi Sand, and the emphasis is on offering guests a traditional safari and comfortable accommodation, combined with great food, prepared around the campfire.

The dining experience embraces the relaxed atmosphere of the lodge, and makes the most of delicious local ingredients, giving guests a true taste of South African cuisine served ‘safari style’ – outdoors! Relax in the main lounge area and enjoy the views to the waterhole where animals and birds go to drink. Cool off in the swimming pool with views across the dam. There is a curio shop with a wide range of African arts, curios, as well as branded apparel, and is open on request.

 

Rooms

There are 8 chalets and a 2 bedroomed bush cottage. Each individual room has either a double bed or two single beds, an en suite shower, air-conditioning, mosquito net, safe and verandah overlooking the gardens and the wild African bush. The Bush Cottage has two bedrooms, a comfortable lounge/kitchenette area, a shower & bath with separate toilet.
