It is common to see the ‘big 5’ in Sabi Sand plus many other species of mammals, birds and reptiles. At Arathusa Safari Lodge you will enjoy the services of experienced guides who will make your safari come to life.

Because the reserve is outside the restrictions of the Kruger National Park, trying other game viewing activities is highly recommended. Typically private lodges and camps will offer experiences such as bush walks, night drives and sundowners or romantic bush dinners under a starry African sky. Visit Sabi Sand as part of a self-drive itinerary or simply fly in for a few days before jetting off to Cape Town, or combining with the stunning beaches in Mozambique.

Arathusa Safari Lodge is intimate and open-plan, designed to blend harmoniously with the adjacent waterhole and African bush.

In the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park.

An infinity swimming pool overlooks the waterhole and is the perfect spot for wildlife viewing. Delectable meals are served alfresco overlooking the waterhole, or in the dining room. There is also a luxury spa overlooking the waterhole.

Approximately 3 hours from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport.

Children under 12 years are not permitted at the lodge.

Rooms

The 9 thatched standard rooms are located within the camp’s perimeter around the waterhole. Each has an en suite bathroom with bath and separate indoor and outdoor showers, and a verandah. Twin rooms may also be arranged. There are 4 luxury rooms which are remote and exclusive, offering more privacy. Each has a plunge pool and lounge area. Additional amenities include a stocked mini bar , an electronic safe, hairdryer, air-conditioning, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities.
