Overview
The camp is built into the side of a hill, facing the foothills of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro – the views are stunning! Tortilis Camp was one of the first eco-lodges of its size and is very proudly 100% solar powered. Guests can rest assured they are leaving a minimal footprint during their stay.
Located in a private conservancy bordering the Amboseli National Park, game drives, walks, sundowners and bush meals take place both inside the national park and in the conservancy, where guests enjoy exclusivity.
The camp is situated on the edge of Amboseli National Game Reserve, on the southern border of Kenya, renowned for having the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Guests can cool down in the swimming pool or soak up the sun on a comfortable sun lounger. You can even enjoy a relaxing massage.
Delicious food, with fresh salads and herbs grown in the camp, is served in the spacious dining room, as well as delightful bush breakfasts and hilltop sundowners.

Rooms
16 makuti-covered tents consist of a main bedroom with twin or double beds, en suite bathroom and a spacious verandah. There is also a Family Tent with one double en suite bedroom, one twin en suite bedroom, and a spacious private verandah.
