Coconut Lagoon

The hotel is set in a 30-acre abandoned coconut plantation which is criss-crossed by shimmering canals. 8 acres of the land are used for rice cultivation! A tranquil, relaxing escape from the pace of life combined with beautiful landscapes and great service.

The Coconut Lagoon is located on the shore of Lake Vambanad and can only be reached by boat. Step into the reception area where you will be greeted with a refreshing coconut cocktail.

The architectural detail is delightful, with carved balustrades, an ornate railing, elaborately worked brass locks and loads of charming touches.

The main restaurant buffet is the place to sample some authentic Malabari food. The lakeside grill serves delicious fresh fish from the lake and the sea. At the Ayurveda Centre you can try massages and treatments for everything from beauty and toning to rejuvenation and stress, all based on India’s ancient healing art of Ayurveda. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool. Take a sunset cruise on the lake, go canoeing on the lake or in the canals. You can also enjoy an oar- or punt-boat out on the lake with one of the local fishermen. Yoga, meditation, table tennis and badminton are available. There is a gift shop. Traditional dance performances or instrumental music are performed daily.

There are 50 traditional guest rooms equipped with television, safe, mini bar, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Heritage Bungalows have views over the lush grounds and canals. Private Pool Villas have their own private plunge pool. There are also 2-storey Heritage Mansions.
