Located on the North-Western edge of Male Atoll just 40-minutes by speedboat from Male International airport, the brand new island resort VARU by Atmosphere reflects the authentic local heritage and culture of the Maldives.

Signature Maldivian-style design elements accentuate the look and style of the property. The Maldivian term ‘Varu’ implies meanings of strength, resilience and life in abundance.

Opened on 17th October 2019, This latest addition to the Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts portfolio will provide guests with a naturally Maldivian experience like never before. All guests will be on the VARU Plan – the resort’s signature All Inclusive holiday plan; offering an array of food and beverage options; in-villa services and amenities, exotic activities, spa services and more!

Located in the North-West edge of Male Atoll.
Four restaurants and two bars serve a delicious selection of food and drink. There is a lovely spa in which to relax and pamper yourself, a gym should you wish to exercise, and not forgetting the children, there is a kids club. There are plenty of activities for all including, diving, snorkelling and water sports. You could just have a dip in the pool or relax with a book and a drink.

 

Rooms

All 108 villas and suites (8 categories) on the island have direct access to the surrounding pristine white sand beaches with views of the ocean beyond. Villas have spacious interiors and outdoor decks surrounded by lush green vegetation. Interiors are appointed with natural materials of wood and stone and minimalistic design styles and splashes of colour and decorative items. With a total of 39 villas in 5 categories on the beach, each comes with traditional open-air bathrooms and luxurious interiors and furnishings. Guests have the option of enjoying a 10 m2 private infinity pool on the deck!

  • In villa mini bar stocked with beer/wines/soft beverages & selection of snacks -replenished twice a day
  • 20% Discount on first two regular dives per guest (Guest Must hold a PADI certified certificate, discounts applicable on dives only)
  • Selection of non-motorized water sports (Windsurf, Stand up paddle boards, Canoes, Water bikes, Water logs, Water castle) during stay. Guest Must pass Windsurfing competence check for availability
  • Snorkelling Equipment during stay
  • Unlimited snorkelling excursions during stay with two snorkelling excursions per day to nearby sites
  • Full access to the Sports & Recreation Centre – DIisport; fully equipped gymnasium, outdoor & indoor recreational activities, flood-lit tennis court, badminton, beach-volleyball
  • An array of daily organized activities for Children & Young Adults at the Kids Club
  • Various other activities on a weekly & seasonal basis
