Overview

Opened in June 2010 Azura Selous is a luxurious tented lodge where you can relax and enjoy untamed Africa at its best. This is bygone Africa with all the modern comforts you could want.

The lodge and suites all overlook the rapids of the Great Ruaha River in the heart of the Selous Game Reserve. Go to sleep and wake up listening to the rapids, bird song and resident hippos, guaranteeing relaxation from start to finish.

Relax in the comfortable lounge and dining areas whilst watching the wild animals in their natural habitat.

Leisure facilities include a beautiful infinity pool and spa treatments are available in the privacy of your decked suite overlooking the river. Above and beyond game drives guests can enjoy river excursions, fishing, walking safaris, bush breakfasts, lunches and dinners and sundowners in stunning locations.

This is the only lodge in Selous to have a dedicated children’s programme to keep the little ones entertained and learning about the wonders of Africa!

Each of the 12 spacious suites overlooks the river and has air-conditioning, outside seating area with plunge pool, large stone bathroom and spectacular outdoor shower. It’s all about the guests at Amara and your personal butler is on hand from start to finish!
